Bookish things

I have just finished a brilliant childrens book called Triskellion which was great although I have to wait until next year for the next one in the sequel. Over the past few months I have gone through spurts of reading and then not managed to pick anything up at all! I have started my new job which is great but still hard work while I get used to all the different systems etc- it is so different from my old school! I didn't realise how picking up classes mid way through the year would be so hard but it was! So I am looking forward to september when I can start afresh with my new classes. My new school is very different in that I have different classes for different subjects where as in my old school I had one class of one age group for all subjects.

Anyway one exciting thing is I am setting up a book group for them and the children I have asked seem really excited about it!

I spent last night visiting everyones blogs and I have a list of about ten books that I want to read so thanks all! Good to see people are still discussing books and doing much better that me at it! ;)

I loved Triskellion, but I also really enjoy the grown up 'Tom Thorne' Books written by Mark Billingham who is one half of Triskellions Will Peterson.

If you enjoy a good crime novel, check them out.

Hi there -- I just came across your website, and as a fellow book lover, I was wondering if you'd consider checking out mine at www.sarahpekkanen.com I'm a new novelist -- my books are in the same genre as Jennifer Weiner and Marian Keyes -- and I'm hoping to get early feedback from people who truly love books.
Thanks!
